Job summary

Securitas is seeking a proactive Control Room Operator in Brisbane to monitor and manage access control, CCTV and alarms for client sites. The role focuses on data integrity, incident response, and coordination with field security personnel, delivering reliable, customer‑focused security services in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should hold a QLD Security license, First Aid and CPR certificates, and have experience with CCTV and access control systems.

Qualifications

• Current QLD Security license (inc Control Room activity).
• First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous Control Room experience in a similar environment.
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
• Demonstrates initiative and leadership abilities.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Perform Access Control tasks: create/modify badges, reconciling and auditing systems.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures and policies.
• Use various client software programs for access requests.
• Communicate with and dispatch security officers during emergencies.
• Escalate incidents and provide daily activity reports in writing.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, building automation, environmental, fire and safety systems.
• Coordinate with a multi‑tier security team.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor and contract manager.
