Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Contracts Administrator or similar construction role.
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Building, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Sound knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administering head contract and subcontract obligations
  • Managing variations, claims, extensions of time and contractual correspondence
  • Preparing trade packages, scopes of work and tender documentation
  • Coordinating procurement activities and evaluating subcontractor submissions
  • Tracking project costs, forecasts, budgets and cash flow
  • Assessing subcontractor payment claims and contract performance
  • Supporting risk identification and mitigation across the project lifecycle
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing project team

As our project pipeline continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated Contracts Administrator to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects. Based on site and working closely with experienced Project Managers, you'll be trusted with real responsibility, commercial ownership and the opportunity to accelerate your career within a respected Canberra builder.

The Opportunity

As a Contracts Administrator, you'll be at the centre of project delivery, helping manage contracts, procurement, subcontractor engagement, cost control and commercial administration from project commencement through to completion.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the commercial success of major construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing
