people2people is partnering with a well-established construction business in Bankstown, Sydney to recruit a skilled Accountant. The role offers stability and a chance to influence financial decision-making with exposure to the full finance function.

This hands-on position supports senior leadership, with options for a full-time arrangement or a four‑day week, or school hours, balancing responsibility with lifestyle.

Qualifications

• General accounting experience including ledgers, reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong understanding of GST/BAS/taxation requirements in Australia.
• Experience with payroll processing and year-end activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including month-end and year-end processes.
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely supplier payments and customer collections.
• Deliver weekly payroll processing for up to 50 employees using MYOB and maintain records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Drive improvements in internal controls, reporting processes and audit support.
