Job summary

Gough Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Accountant or accounts professional for an established demolition business in Bankstown. You will manage day-to-day accounts, payroll, and administration, with a hands-on role and ownership of the accounts function.

The successful candidate will handle accounts payable/receivable, process weekly payroll (MYOB), review timesheets, and work closely with management to ensure accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong accounts payable and receivable knowledge.
• Experience processing payroll.
• MYOB experience, ideally.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Processing weekly payroll through MYOB.
• Reviewing paper timesheets and entering employee hours accurately.
• Processing payroll payments each Thursday.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and employee information.
• Managing day-to-day accounting and administration.
• Supporting the smooth running of the business's financial operations.
