Frog Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accountant for a long‑term position within a well‑established construction business. You will support leadership with financial decision‑making, manage day‑to‑day accounting, and provide comprehensive reporting across the full finance function.

The role offers flexibility with either a full‑time schedule or a four‑day week and school hours, with MYOB or Xero experience, GST/BAS knowledge, and strong Excel skills.

Reporting directly to the Company Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the general ledger, reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including month-end and year-end processes.
• Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring supplier payments and customer collections are managed effectively.
• Deliver weekly payroll processing for up to 50 employees through MYOB and maintain employee records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial controls, reporting processes and audit support activities.

To be successful, you will bring previous experience in a general accounting position, ideally within the construction, trades, manufacturing, transport, logistics or broader blue-collar sectors. A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, will be highly regarded. You will also have a sound understanding of Australian GST, BAS and taxation requirements, experience using MYOB, Xero or similar accounting systems, and strong Excel skills.
