Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is offering a 2-year Concreting Traineeship designed to kick-start your career in concreting while delivering real community impact. You’ll gain hands-on experience across footpaths, driveways and civil works, with on-the-job training and formal study.

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 10 (ROSA) or equivalent with satisfactory results in English and Maths.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) or ability to obtain before starting.
• Current Provisional Drivers Licence.
• Willing to undertake Certificate III Concreting during the traineeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a broad range of concreting and civil construction works including maintenance and renewals.
• Operate small plant and equipment under supervision.
• Learn concreting techniques such as screeding and finishing across various projects.
• Work with a skilled team and support day-to-day administrative tasks (timesheets, diaries, checklists).
• Follow quality, environmental and WHS requirements and participate in training.
