Job summary

City-Wide Building and Training Services (CWBTS) is seeking an experienced concreter to move into training, assessment and mentoring for apprentices completing the CPC30320 Certificate III in Concreting. You will visit worksites across Sydney, Wollongong and surrounding areas, helping apprentices develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

This permanent part-time role offers 31.5 hours over three days, with a balance between site exposure and instructional work.

Qualifications

• Must have a Certificate III trade qualification in Concreting or equivalent.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent is required.
• Strong concreting experience and solid workmanship and safety practices.
• Excellent communication with apprentices, employers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Visit apprentices at worksites and approved training locations.
• Deliver engaging training grounded in current concreting practices.
• Observe and assess apprentices’ competency during practical tasks.
• Coach apprentices and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain regular contact with apprentices and monitor progress.
