Job summary

Soteria Independent Living is seeking Complex Behaviour Support Workers for our SIL homes in Ipswich, QLD. The role focuses on participants with high complex behaviours, implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans and trauma‑informed, person‑centred care.

You will work within a supportive team, ensuring safety, dignity and consistent, high‑quality support. Applicants must have NDIS experience in SIL, strong collaboration skills with families and allied health teams, and hold a current

Qualifications

NDIS experience with complex needs, preferably in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans and de-escalation strategies.
Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, person‑centred, and rights‑based care.
Solid knowledge of restrictive practices, NDIS authorisations, boundaries and confidentiality.
Current Australian driver’s licence and transport requirements.

Responsibilities

Strictly follow established routines, care plans and behaviour strategies.
Maintain accurate, factual progress notes and documentation.
Identify and escalate changes in participant wellbeing or safety risks.
Collaborate with the support team and respond to management directions.
Commit to a 24/7 SIL roster including mornings, afternoons, weekends and overnights.
