Job summary

Soteria is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care in a 24-7 SIL home setting. You will support individuals with disabilities with daily living activities, community access, and implementation of individual support plans.

This casual role requires female native English speakers, reliability, and strong communication. Experience with psychosocial disability and dementia is valued, with trauma-informed, client-centered approaches and thorough documentation

Qualifications

• Female native English speakers are mandatory.
• Available to attend shifts between 9am and 7pm.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability (highly regarded).
• Experience supporting individuals living with dementia (desirable).
• Reliable, professional and consistent attendance and practice.
• High-level documentation and report-writing aligned with NDIS standards.
• Ability to provide trauma-informed, behaviourally informed support to participants with complex behaviours.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

About the role

Soteria is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. In this casual role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with a range of daily living activities in a 24-7 SIL home setting.

What you'll be doing

• Providing personalised support and assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks to our complex clients
• Facilitating community access and engagement, including accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and recreational events
• Implementing individual support plans and collaborating with the broader care team to ensure the best outcomes for each client
• Advocating for client needs and preferences, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality care

What we’re looking for

• It is mandatory for applicants to be female native English speakers
• It is essential that you are available to attend shifts between 9am and 7pm
• Strong English language proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability (highly regarded)
• Experience supporting individuals living with dementia (desirable)
• Proven reliability, professionalism, and consistency in attendance and practice
• High-level documentation and report-writing skills aligned with NDIS standards
• The ability and willingness to provide trauma-informed, behaviourally informed support to a participant presenting with complex behaviours
• A current Australian driver's licence
