Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a proactive Facility Officer (Community) to work with local clubs, groups and not-for-profits to manage Council-owned facilities and land. You will coordinate tenancy, support asset management and drive community outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement and quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in property, facilities or asset management.
• Trade Qualifications highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of property leasing and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing maintenance and contractors.
• Strong financial and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong administrative and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community groups and tenants to support facility use.
• Provide expert advice on facility management and tenancy matters.
• Coordinate maintenance programs, inspections and contractor engagement.
• Manage tenancy and occupancy agreements and stakeholder expectations.
• Support capital works and preventative maintenance planning.
• Respond to facility-related inquiries with high-quality service.
• Maintain accurate asset records for decision-making and planning.
• Contribute to policies and practices for council facilities.
