Job summary

• Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' needs and develop educational, training, and support programs.
• Interview clients to determine the nature and extent of their difficulties.
• Monitor and report on client progress.
• Refer clients to additional support agencies as needed.
• Evaluate community needs in health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services.
• Collaborate with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies, and private businesses to address community issues.
• Support families, education, and care for children and disabled persons in various service units and institutions.
• Supervise individuals on probation and parole.
• Assist young people with social, emotional, and financial challenges.
• Prepare funding submissions and reports for government bodies and other agencies.
