Job summary

Offshore Staff Assist is seeking professionals for roles including Community Development Officer, Community Support Worker, and Housing Officer in Australia. Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree/Advanced Diploma/Degree equivalent required.
• Three years’ relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications.
• Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ needs and develop/implement educational, training, and support programs.
• Interview clients to determine the nature and extent of difficulties.
• Monitor and report on client progress.
• Refer clients to additional support agencies as needed.
• Evaluate community needs in health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other services.
• Collaborate with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies and private businesses to address issues and raise awareness of resources.
• Support families and provide education while caring for children and disabled persons in various service units and settings.
• Supervise individuals on probation and parole.
• Assist young people with social, emotional and financial challenges.
• Prepare funding submissions and reports for government bodies and agencies.
