Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, NT is seeking a Commis Chef to join our on-site kitchen team. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and at least two years post-apprenticeship experience in large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts.

You’ll work with a team of experienced chefs, perform food preparation and service duties, and maintain high standards including HACCP practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship kitchen experience in large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts.
• Experience with HACCP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff during preparation and service.
• Multitask calmly to handle multiple orders in a brief time.
