Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, NT is seeking a Commis Chef to join our on-site kitchen team. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and at least two years post-apprenticeship experience in large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts.

You’ll work with a team of experienced chefs, perform food preparation and service duties, and maintain high standards including HACCP practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship kitchen experience in large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts.
• Experience with HACCP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff during preparation and service.
• Multitask calmly to handle multiple orders in a brief time.

An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team! Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Commis Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are seeking a passionate and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career. You will have minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience working in a kitchen team within large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts, to working with a group of like-minded legends. A la carte and buffet experience will be highly regarded, HACCP training is advantageous.

Key Duties

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service;
• Effectively communicate with other members of the kitchen staff during preparation and service;
• Multitask in a calm and orderly way while carrying out many different orders simultaneously in a brief amount of time.
