Job summary

DUAL Brisbane, part of Howden, is seeking an Underwriter - Commercial to join our Brisbane Underwriting team. You will develop technical underwriting capabilities across Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health, while building strong broker relationships and handling SME renewals.

You may come from a policy administration or assistant underwriting role with 1-2 years in insurance, and you are keen to progress in commercial underwriting, delivering excellent service and accurate

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry, in policy administration, insurance administration or assistant underwriting roles.
• Strong communication and broker relationship-building abilities.
• Customer service oriented with excellent organisation and attention to detail; proactive learner.

Responsibilities

• Manage SME renewal portfolio via the DUAL Webrater tracking platform.
• Build and maintain broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Respond to broker inquiries with timely underwriting support.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines.
• Support business development through broker outreach.
