Job summary

DUAL Asia Pacific in Sydney is seeking an underwriter - commercial to join our Sydney Underwriting team. Working alongside experienced underwriters, you'll develop your technical underwriting capability across Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health, while building strong broker relationships.

You will manage SME renewal portfolios, respond to broker enquiries, expand your underwriting knowledge across product lines, and support business development through broker outreach.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' insurance experience
• Genuine interest in underwriting
• Strong communication and relationship-building with brokers
• Excellent customer service, organisation and attention to detail
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an SME renewal portfolio via the DUAL Webrater platform
• Build and maintain broker relationships through regular engagement
• Respond to broker enquiries and provide timely underwriting support
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines
• Support business development through broker outreach
