Job summary

DUAL Australia Pty is seeking an Underwriter - Commercial for the Brisbane underwriting team. You’ll work with experienced underwriters to grow your technical capability across Financial Lines, General Liability, and Accident & Health while building strong broker relationships and handling a diverse range of risks.

In this role you will manage SME renewals, respond to broker inquiries, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years insurance industry experience (policy administration, insurance admin or assistant underwriting preferred).
• Interest in developing a career in commercial underwriting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an SME renewal portfolio through the DUAL Webrater platform.
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Respond to broker enquiries and provide timely underwriting support.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines.
• Support business development activities through broker outreach and relationship building.
