Job summary

DUAL is seeking an Underwriter – Commercial to join the Brisbane Underwriting team. You will work alongside seasoned underwriters to grow technical underwriting skills across Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health, while building strong broker relationships.

You’ll manage an SME renewal portfolio, respond to broker inquiries, and develop your underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines with a proactive approach to learn and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry, ideally within policy administration, insurance administration or assistant underwriting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging brokers by phone.
• Excellent customer service, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an SME renewal portfolio through the DUAL Webrater platform.
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Respond to broker enquiries and provide timely underwriting support.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines.
• Support business development activities through broker outreach and relationship building.
