DUAL, part of Howden, is seeking an Underwriter - Commercial to join the Sydney underwriting team. You will grow technical underwriting capability across Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health while building strong broker relationships and handling a diverse SME renewal portfolio.

You will work with experienced underwriters, develop product knowledge, and contribute to broker outreach activities in a supportive, career‑oriented environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in the insurance industry and desire to progress into commercial underwriting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging brokers by phone.
• Excellent customer service, organisation and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Aufgaben

• Manage and service an SME renewal portfolio through the DUAL Webrater platform.
• Build and maintain broker relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Respond to broker enquiries and provide underwriting support in a timely manner.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multi-product lines including Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health.
• Support business development through broker outreach and relationship building.
