Job summary

DUAL Brisbane is seeking an Underwriter – Commercial to join its local underwriting team. You will work with experienced underwriters to develop technical capability across Financial Lines, General Liability and Accident & Health while building strong broker relationships.

You may come from a policy administration or assistant underwriting background and are eager to progress in commercial underwriting. The role offers exposure to multiple product lines and a supportive, voice-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' insurance experience in policy administration, insurance administration or assistant underwriting.
• A genuine interest in developing a career in underwriting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent customer service, organisation and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an SME renewal portfolio through the DUAL Webrater, our online tracking platform.
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Respond to broker enquiries and provide underwriting support.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across multiple product lines.
• Support business development activities through broker outreach and relationship building.
