Job summary

CoastRI is a cross-NCRIS collaboration building data and infrastructure to predict and manage coastal risks across Australia. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support governance across partner organisations and provide secretariat services to the Advisory Board.

The role involves monitoring milestones and budgets, preparing progress reports, and organising conferences and events to raise awareness of CoastRI's research capability.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in science, research management or a related field.
• Experience coordinating projects in a research, university or multi-stakeholder environment.
• Secretariat or governance support experience — minute-taking, action tracking, committee support.
• Strong written communication skills across reports, briefings and stakeholder-facing materials.
• Track record of organising events or workshops and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project governance across CoastRI's partner organisations, supporting scientific and advisory committees and keeping actions on track.
• Provide secretariat support to the CoastRI Advisory Board — agendas, minutes and follow-up on decisions.
• Monitor performance against milestones and budgets, and contribute to progress reports and communications materials.
• Organise conferences, workshops and events that showcase CoastRI's work and build community.
• Partner with communications teams to grow awareness of CoastRI's research capability.
