Job summary

MinterEllison in Canberra is seeking a Client Services Assistant to deliver professional hospitality and client service across front-of-house and operational tasks.

You will support client meetings and events, provide reception and switchboard coverage, and help maintain a welcoming office environment. This fixed-term role offers exposure to a professional services setting and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, corporate hospitality, customer service or a similar client-facing environment.
• Barista skills and coffee knowledge (desirable).
• Some experience with software/technology i.e.: Microsoft products/AV Systems/POS Systems.
• A proactive, professional approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the broader team.
• The ability to obtain RSA and Food Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional hospitality services for client meetings, events and functions, including occasional after-hours support.
• Preparing and serving refreshments, including barista coffee and basic food items.
• Providing reception and switchboard coverage when required.
• Maintaining client-facing areas to a high standard and supporting the day-to-day operation of the office.
• Processing administrative tasks, including stock management and invoice processing.
• Setting up meeting rooms, event spaces and helping with audiovisual equipment.
