Job summary

Compass is seeking a motivated Recoveries Specialist to manage a portfolio of recovery claims and secure strong financial outcomes. If you have experience in debt recovery or insurance claims and enjoy negotiation, problem-solving, and working in a target-driven role, this could be the role for you.

You will liaise with insurers, third parties and legal representatives; negotiate settlements to recover funds; prepare evidence, meet KPIs for revenue recovery and aged debt; and contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience in debt collection, recoveries, or a similar financial enforcement role.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong numeracy and written communication abilities.
• Confidence in presenting evidence in written or verbal form.
• Self-motivated with strong time management and independence.
• Professional and composed in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and managing claims to maximise recovery outcomes.
• Liaising with insurance companies, third parties, and legal representatives.
• Negotiating settlements to recover funds and reduce write-offs.
• Preparing evidence and documentation to support claims recovery.
• Escalating claims through legal channels where appropriate.
• Working to meet team KPIs related to revenue recovery and aged debt.
• Contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
• Minimising aged debt through proactive portfolio management.
