Job summary

Compass is seeking a motivated Recoveries Specialist to manage a portfolio of recovery claims and secure strong financial outcomes. Experience in debt recovery or insurance claims, plus negotiation skills, are highly valued.

You will work within a target-driven environment, liaising with insurers, legal representatives, and third parties to maximise recoveries and reduce aged debt. A collaborative team culture and ongoing development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in debt collection, recoveries, or similar financial enforcement role.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong numeracy and written communication abilities.
• Confidence in gathering and presenting evidence in written or verbal form.
• Highly self-motivated with strong time management and independence.
• Professional and composed in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and managing claims to achieve maximum recovery outcomes.
• Liaising with insurance companies, third parties, and legal representatives.
• Negotiating settlements to recover owed funds and reduce write-offs.
• Preparing evidence and documentation to support claims recovery.
• Escalating claims through legal channels where appropriate.
• Working to meet team and individual KPIs related to revenue recovery and aged debt.
• Contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
• Minimising aged debt through proactive portfolio management.
