About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Supervisor / Excavator Operator to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on role combining site supervision with machine operation, ideal for someone who leads by example and takes pride in delivering high-quality civil works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and plant
• Operate excavators and other machinery as required
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
• Liaise with project managers, clients
• Manage materials, equipment, and site resources efficiently

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in civil construction (roads, utilities, infrastructure, or similar)
• Previous supervisory or leading hand experience
• Valid excavator operator tickets and relevant plant licences
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret plans and set out works
• White Card (Construction Induction) - essential
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
