Job summary

Thornton Engineering Aus in Corio, VIC seeks an experienced Civil Engineer for a permanent full-time role. You will perform layout and design calculations, prepare reports and drawings, and conduct field surveys to support civil projects.

Proficiency with CAD and strong teamwork are essential. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent), a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design, and ideally 4+ years of relevant experience in a civil

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a qualified Civil Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations for layout and design.

• Use CAD programs for drawing and mapping.
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles with elevations and cross-sections.

Job Description

Thornton Engineering Aus are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Civil Engineering/Civil Engineer to join their team in Corio VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Perform calculations for layout and design
• Prepare report, map, drawing, and plan
• Conduct field surveys and provide accurate, reliable data for use in design activities to help civil engineer
• Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Program
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
• Communicate with the construction or production teams

Skills and Abilities

• Diploma of Civil Construction Design, Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design or relevant
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a qualified Civil Engineer
• A strong knowledge of Civil Engineering
• The ability to work in a team environment
