Job summary

PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our Melbourne team. You will assist with cost estimation, interpret guidelines, and perform tests on building materials for civil projects.

Responsibilities include site inspections, data collection, traffic surveys, and calculating material costs to verify compliance with specifications and contract terms. A minimum of 1 year in a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar civil engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering concepts and construction materials.
• Ability to interpret guidelines and specifications.

Job Description

Civil Engineering Technician Phillip Riley is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. Duties include:

Assisting in cost estimation in support of Civil Engineering tasks. Interpreting work assignment guidelines and performing tests on building materials for civil engineering work. Creating drawings and tables and selecting the right equipment and appropriate procedures.

Examining civil engineering sites and arranging maintenance and repair work Gathering data, analysing and performing calculations Assessing material costs and verifying that completed projects comply with specifications, regulations and contract terms

Gathering data for traffic surveys and carrying out tests on construction materials and soils in both laboratory and field environments. As the ideal candidate you will have: You will have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

Extensive technical knowledge, Interpersonal skills. Salary: $87,500 - $107,500 plus superannuation
