Job summary

Wave International in Perth, WA, is seeking a Discipline Lead: Civil to own and grow the civil discipline within a dynamic mining and resources consultancy. You will lead studies, detailed design, and project delivery across multi-disciplinary teams, while mentoring engineers and building strong client relationships for repeat and new work.

The role requires a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and 8+ years of experience, with a proven track record in civil design, design management, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 8+ years' experience in civil engineering, within mining, resources, heavy industry, or consulting environments.
• Demonstrated capability leading civil engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong experience in civil design, technical review, engineering assessment, and design management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering scopes across studies, detailed design, and project delivery phases.
• Deliver high-quality civil designs that comply with Australian Standards, client specifications and safety requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers as the team grows.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project objectives and resolve technical challenges.
• Undertake site visits and field investigations to support studies, design development, and project execution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to securing repeat and new work opportunities.
• Support proposal preparation, project estimates, tenders, and business development initiatives.
