Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Perth is seeking a contract Civil Engineer to provide technical guidance on civil design for resource and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on delivering robust design solutions, coordinating with multiple disciplines and meeting project requirements in a dynamic environment.

You will work with a team to advance feasibility studies, develop drawings, and manage stakeholder relationships while contributing to continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

• Managing stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
• Providing direction to project team and addressing technical and commercial risk.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, designers and drafters in delivery and development.

Job Function Engineer

Role accountabilities:

• Providing Technical advice for all aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, construction staging, constructability, and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Develop technical and feasibility studies and development of drawings that satisfy technical specifications.
• Design coordination for selected projects or components of projects, collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
• Managing effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
• Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options.
• Working with junior engineers, designers and drafters and guiding them in delivery and their professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive civil engineering experience delivering resource and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated technical acumen with proven experience of managing and delivering design solutions.
• Record of accomplishment in effective cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
• A collaborative approach and appreciation of the value of teamwork.
• A passion for continuous improvement, quality and improving service for our clients.
• High attention to detail, good analytical and communication skills.
