Job summary

Wave International is seeking an experienced Discipline Lead: Mechanical to lead and grow our mechanical engineering capability within a growing consultancy. Based in our Perth office, you will own the mechanical discipline, influence its direction and portfolio, and deliver mechanical engineering solutions across mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered status highly regarded.
• Experience leading mechanical design for underground hard rock mining projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client-facing delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge in materials handling, bulk solids, and plant infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical discipline across complex mining and resource projects.
• Deliver mechanical engineering solutions from design through project execution.
• Manage interfaces with other disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team.
