Job summary

Wave International seeks a Senior Civil Engineer – Water to join our growing Perth team. This role covers design and delivery of water infrastructure across mining, industrial and urban systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to provide practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of relevant experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. WA project experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience, ideally in consulting.
• Strong experience in water and civil infrastructure design (pipelines, pump stations, water bores, sewerage, reticulation and drainage).
• Demonstrated experience in hydraulic analysis and design.
• Experience delivering water infrastructure for mining, industrial and/or urban water systems.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and water infrastructure requirements.
• WA project experience and familiarity with Water Corporation standards would be highly regarded.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Civil and water infrastructure design from feasibility studies through to detailed design and delivery.
• Undertake hydraulic design and analysis, including steady-state and transient analysis.
• Design water and civil infrastructure including pipelines, pressure mains, sewer and reticulation systems, drainage, wells, bores and pump stations.
• Contribute to wastewater treatment and broader urban and mining water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, study and design reports, specifications, drawings and bid-ready documentation.
• Develop practical engineering solutions to complex technical and project challenges.
• Contribute to project scopes, estimates, schedules, tenders and proposals.
