Job summary

Nextgen Civil is seeking a Site Manager to lead on-site operations for subdivision projects in regional NSW. You will supervise day-to-day activities, coordinate subcontractors, and drive productivity while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will run pre-start meetings, manage deliveries, and maintain project logs, reporting to the project manager. A strong background in bulk earthworks, roadworks, and utilities, plus NSW WHS knowledge, is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Site Manager or similar on subdivision projects in NSW.
• Experience with bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, and utilities.
• NSW White Card (General Construction Induction) is required.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence; Heavy Vehicle licence desirable.
• Plant/machinery tickets or supervisory qualifications are preferred.
• Solid knowledge of NSW WHS regulations and local subdivision standards.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, time management and communication skills.

Job description

As a Site Manager at Nextgen Civil, you will be the key operational leader on site, overseeing day-to-day operations for residential and commercial subdivision projects. You will be responsible for driving site productivity, leading on-site personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Key responsibilities

Supervise, direct, and motivate site personnel, equipment operators, and subcontractors. Efficiently allocate staff and resources to daily tasks.

Oversee daily operations to ensure project milestones and construction schedules are met.

Conduct and document daily pre-start meetings, toolboxes, site diaries, and progress logs.

Coordinate and manage site deliveries, material orders, and plant movement to maintain continuous site workflow.

Enforce strict Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols, environmental standards, and quality management systems across the site.

Oversee overall site security, asset protection, and coordinate routine maintenance for vehicles, machinery, and equipment.

Act as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, engineers, clients, local council representatives, and inspectors.

About you

Proven experience as a Civil Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Manager specifically managing subdivision construction projects in NSW.

Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, sewer/water reticulation, and service utilities.

Valid NSW White Card (General Construction Induction).

Current NSW Driver's Licence (Heavy Vehicle licence desirable).

Applicable plant/machinery tickets or supervisory qualifications are highly regarded.

In-depth knowledge of NSW WHS regulations, environmental guidelines, and local council subdivision standards.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, time-management, and interpersonal communication skills.
