Job summary

Motive Civil and Plant Hire, a civil contractor delivering subdivision, drainage, earthworks and council infrastructure projects across the Central West, is seeking a Site Engineer to run the technical and compliance side of our projects from pre-start through to handover.

You will manage ITPs and NCRs, coordinate subcontractors, obtain approvals from councils and authorities, arrange NATA testing, and maintain comprehensive documentation while supporting setout and survey liaison.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in civil construction.
• Experience on civil, subdivision or council infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of ITPs, council and Austroads specifications, and NSW WHS requirements.
• Organised with tidy documentation habits and confidence liaising with clients and authorities.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.
• Graduates with relevant site experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality and compliance: ITPs, hold points, checklists and NCRs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, including scopes, programming, inductions, SWMS review and site supervision.
• Get approvals from Council, TfNSW, utilities and other authorities (ROLs, TMPs, permits, service clearances).
• Arrange and track NATA testing for compaction, concrete and materials, and keep results in order.
• Keep project documentation current: RFIs, variations, site diaries, daily reports, as-builts and WAE.
• Handle setout and survey liaison, and check work against design and specification.
• Help prepare and maintain construction methodologies, environmental controls and WHS documentation.
• Compile handover packages and quality records for practical completion.
