Job summary

UBank seeks a Technology Risk Enablement Consultant in Sydney to strengthen first‑line technology risk, controls, and regulatory compliance. The role acts as a central point of expertise, partnering with Technology leadership to translate regulatory obligations into practical, technology‑aligned outcomes.

You will monitor risks, design and assess controls, contribute to the Technology and Data Compliance Framework, and support risk forums and remediation activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in technology risk management, assurance or IT audit.
• Experience in technology and cyber risk management, controls, or compliance.
• Awareness of Australian financial services regulatory requirements relevant to technology and cyber risk.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technology and data compliance risks, incidents, and control effectiveness.
• Support design, implementation, and assessment of technology controls to mitigate risk.
• Contribute to the Technology and Data Compliance Framework.
• Partner with Technology teams to embed risk and compliance into processes and systems.
• Support risk profiling, including identifying key risks and indicators.
• Provide day-to-day risk and compliance advice on changes and technology activities.
• Support remediation activities to address control issues and effectiveness.
• Contribute to risk forums, committees, and regulatory engagement activities.
• Drive uplift of technology risk maturity, culture, and first‑line accountability.
• Maintain working knowledge of CPS 234, CPS 230 and CPG 235.
