Job summary

Rydges Canberra, part of EVT, is seeking a Chef de Partie to contribute across restaurant services. You will produce high-quality dishes, maintain recipe knowledge, and uphold hygiene and safety standards while working in a dynamic hotel kitchen.

• Produce high-quality dishes across all services in line with the restaurant's standards.
• Maintain strong knowledge of recipes for all menu items.
• Uphold portion control, quality control and waste minimisation practices.
• Monitor storage, rotation and cleanliness to meet WH&S standards.
• Ensure all standard recipes are followed across outlets.
• Attend scheduled meetings and support the team with additional duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality dishes across all services in line with the restaurant’s standards.
• Maintain strong recipe knowledge for all menu items
• Uphold portion control, quality control and waste minimisation practices
• Monitor food storage, rotation and cleanliness to meet hotel and WH&S standards
• Ensure all standard recipes are followed across outlets
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes
• Foster a collaborative, respectful working environment within the kitchen and service teams
• Comply with all operational policies, procedures and safety guidelines
• Care for and maintain kitchen equipment
• Attend scheduled meetings and support the team with additional duties as required

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie
• Solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• A passion for quality produce and thoughtful, well executed dishe
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety and presentation
• A collaborative mindset and a genuine love of hospitality
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, can do attitude
