Job summary

EVT Limited, owner of Rydges Canberra, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our hotel kitchen team in Canberra.

Produce high-quality dishes across all services, maintain recipe knowledge, uphold portion control and waste minimisation, and work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams while adhering to hygiene, safety and policy standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie.
• Solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene, food safety and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality dishes across all services in line with the restaurant’s standards.
• Maintain recipe knowledge for all menu items.
• Uphold portion control, quality control and waste minimisation practices.
• Monitor food storage, rotation and cleanliness to meet hotel and WH&S standards.
• Ensure all standard recipes are followed across outlets.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Foster a collaborative, respectful working environment within the kitchen and service teams.
• Comply with all operational policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Care for and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Attend scheduled meetings and support the team with additional duties as required.

What You’ll Bring:

• 1+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie
• Solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• A passion for quality produce and thoughtful, well executed dishe
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety and presentation
• A collaborative mindset and a genuine love of hospitality
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, can do attitude
