Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating the charcoal pit safely.
• Cooking and basting charcoal chicken to recipe and quality standards.
• Portioning, rotating, and preparing chicken for service.
• Monitoring cook times, temperatures, and product quality.
• Keeping the charcoal station, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organised.
• Supporting service flow during busy periods.
• Following food safety, WHS requirements, and reporting hazards or incidents.
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our team as Charcoal Cook Team members. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll work alongside a great team, keep the energy high, and help create memorable experiences for our guests. No previous experience is required, with full training provided on the job.

What You’ll Be Doing

Charcoal Cook:

• Cooking and basting charcoal chicken to El Jannah recipe and quality standards
• Portioning, rotating, and preparing chicken for service
• Monitoring cook times, temperatures, and product quality
• Keeping the charcoal station, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organised
• Supporting service flow during busy periods
• Following food safety, WHS requirements, and reporting hazards or incidents
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience
