El Jannah in Victoria is hiring Charcoal Cook Team members for a hands-on, fast-paced role. You’ll work with a great team, keep energy high, and help create memorable experiences for guests. No prior experience required; full training provided.

You will set up and operate the charcoal pit, cook and baste chicken to our recipes, portion and prep for service, monitor times and quality, keep the station clean, and support service during busy periods while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Be reliable and eager to learn on the job.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to follow procedures and food safety rules.
• Experience in fast food or hospitality is helpful but not required.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate the charcoal pit safely.
• Cook and baste charcoal chicken to El Jannah recipes.
• Portion and prepare chicken for service.
• Monitor cook times, temperatures and product quality.
• Keep the charcoal station, tools and surrounding areas clean and organised.
• Support service flow during busy periods.
• Follow food safety, WHS requirements and reporting hazards or incidents.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our team as Charcoal Cook Team members. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you’ll work alongside a great team, keep the energy high, and help create memorable experiences for our guests. No previous experience is required, with full training provided on the job.

What You’ll Be Doing

Charcoal Cook:

• Setting up and operating the charcoal pit safely and correctly
• Cooking and basting charcoal chicken to El Jannah recipe and quality standards
• Portioning, rotating, and preparing chicken for service
• Monitoring cook times, temperatures, and product quality
• Keeping the charcoal station, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organised
• Supporting service flow during busy periods
• Following food safety, WHS requirements, and reporting hazards or incidents
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience
