Job summary

Transport for NSW's Sydney Trains arm is leading a major operational transformation to modernize inspection, monitoring and maintenance of overhead wiring. As Change Manager, you will design and deliver an integrated change management strategy to embed new technologies and ways of working across frontline and support teams.

You will partner with operations, HR, industrial relations and unions to assess change impact, plan workforce transitions and ensure readiness, safety and performance

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex change initiatives within large operational organisations.
• Strong capability in change impact assessments and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing industrial relations considerations, employee consultation and union engagement.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable change plans and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated change strategy aligned with program milestones, operational delivery, communications, training and workforce transition.
• Stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships across operations, maintenance and corporate functions to create alignment and secure commitment to new technologies and practices.
• Workforce transition: Lead change impact assessments and develop practical transition plans with HR and operational leaders.
• Technology adoption: Drive the transition to digital inspection methods and new working practices while ensuring safety and reliability.
• Operational integration: Align emerging inspection functions with frontline maintenance for a coordinated transition.
• Industrial relations: Work with Employee Relations and unions to facilitate consultation and risk mitigation.
• Communications and capability: Create targeted communications and training to build understanding and capability.
• Business readiness and hypercare: Lead readiness assessments and post-deployment support to embed new ways of working.
