Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services Ltd in Leichhardt North is seeking a Permanent Full-time Centre Director to lead a 75-place centre and help set up the new service with SCECS.

You’ll build a dedicated team, drive quality early childhood education, ensure regulatory compliance, and benefit from above‑award pay, leadership allowances, childcare discounts, and a strong support network including PD opportunities and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a director or senior role.
• Strong understanding of NQS, NQF and EYLF frameworks.
• Ability to plan, document and support children’s learning.

About the role:

We are looking for a Permanent Full-time Centre Director for our Leichhardt North location. This is a newly acquired service so you will have an opportunity to build your own team and help setting up with SCECS.

75 place Centre with 4 rooms. Street parking available.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in early childhood education, a passion for leadership, and a commitment to creating inclusive, values-based learning environments.

Qualifications:A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care is essential.

Leadership Experience:At least 2 years in a Director or leadership role within an early learning setting.

Assessment & Rating Expertise:Confident and capable in navigating the Assessment and Rating process with a deep understanding of quality improvement.

Planning & Documentation:A solid grasp of the Cycle of Planning and the ability to document and support children’s learning effectively.

Regulatory Knowledge:A strong working knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Quality Framework (NQF), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Current Certifications:Hold valid certifications in First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management, as well as a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
