Job summary

Little Star Staffing is seeking an experienced Centre Director to lead a quality early childhood service in Stanhope Gardens, NSW. You will manage a team of educators, drive program quality and ensure compliance with NQF, NQS and EYLF, while fostering strong relationships with families and the wider community.

The role requires prior leadership experience in ECEC, a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Experience as Centre Director, Assistant Director, 2IC or senior ECEC leader.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of high-quality programs aligned with EYLF.

Little Star Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead a quality early childhood education and care service in Stanhope Gardens.

This is an opportunity for an established ECEC leader who is ready to take ownership of a service, lead a team of educators and create a high-quality environment where children, families and educators can thrive.

About the Role

As Centre Director, you will provide strong leadership across the service and be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of the centre.

You will lead a team of educators, support high-quality educational practice, maintain regulatory compliance, build strong family relationships and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring and developing the educator team

Overseeing daily centre operations, staffing and service requirements

Maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation

Supporting the delivery of high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF

Building strong and respectful relationships with children, families and the wider community

Supporting educator performance, induction and professional development

Leading quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the QIP

Promoting child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and positive outcomes

Managing concerns, incidents and operational matters professionally

Ensuring policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently implemented

About You

You will be an experienced early childhood professional with demonstrated leadership capability and a genuine passion for quality education and care.

To be successful, you will have:

A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent

Previous experience as a Centre Director, Assistant Director, 2IC or senior ECEC leader

Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF V2.0 and relevant ECEC legislation

Demonstrated experience leading and developing educator teams

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Confidence managing centre operations and compliance requirements

A sound understanding of child safety and protection obligations

Strong organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills

A proactive approach to quality improvement

The ability to build a positive, professional and accountable team culture

Experience with CCS, rostering, enrolments, centre administration and other operational systems will be highly regarded.

You will be approachable and supportive while also being confident in making decisions, setting expectations and having difficult conversations when required.
