Job summary

Australian Vintage is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused casual staff to join the Cellar Door Sales team at McGuigan and Tempus Two in Pokolbin, NSW.

You’ll greet guests, run wine tastings with tasting notes, share winery stories, process sales at the POS, and maintain displays and cleanliness on the floor.

Casual shifts run between 10am and 5pm, across weekdays and weekends, with staff discounts and rewards for exceeding sales targets.

Qualifications

• Passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering great guest service.
• Ability to work casually across weekdays and weekends.
• Previous cellar door, bar, retail, or hospitality experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage wine tastings with notes.
• Process sales using the POS and handle cash.
• Maintain stock, displays, and cleanliness on the floor.
• Provide winery stories and product knowledge to guests.
• Address guest questions professionally.
• Stay up-to-date with promotions.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and looking after guests as they arrive
• Running wine tastings and sharing tasting notes, food pairings, and winery stories
• Processing sales through the point of sale system
• Keeping up to date knowledge of our wine range and current promotions
• Maintaining stock, displays, and cleanliness standards on the floor
• Handling customer questions and resolving issues with professionalism

What we're looking for

• A passion for wine, hospitality, and good customer service
• Available to work casual shifts across weekdays and weekends, with strong weekend availability
• Previous cellar door, bar, retail, or hospitality experience is desirable but not required
• Comfortable handling cash and electronic transactions
• A team player who also works well independently
