Job summary

Australian Vintage is seeking an experienced Warehouse / Forklift Operator for the Merbein Packaging Winery on a permanent, full-time basis. You will ensure safe loading/unloading, receiving goods, picking orders and moving stock through the warehouse, contributing to daily operations and efficiency.

The role offers a stable day shift (7.00 am to 3.00 pm on weekdays), with potential overtime according to needs.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence required.
• Recent forklift/warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive and check incoming goods.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Move finished products into the warehouse and store stock safely.
• Monitor inventory and assist with stock replenishment.
• Participate in stock takes and maintain records.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with Packaging and Warehouse teams.

Australian Vintage is looking for an experienced Warehouse / Forklift Operator to join our team at the Merbein Packaging Winery on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in getting things right and knows their way around a busy warehouse environment.

You will be part of the team responsible for keeping products and materials moving safely and efficiently across our packaging and warehouse operations, from receiving incoming goods through to storing and dispatching finished products.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our Warehouse team, you will help keep our day-to-day warehouse operations running safely and efficiently.

Your work will include:

• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Receiving and checking incoming goods
• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
• Transporting finished products from our packaging lines into the warehouse
• Moving and storing stock safely within the warehouse
• Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock replenishment
• Participating in stocktakes as required
• Maintaining accurate warehouse and inventory records
• Working closely with our Packaging and Warehouse teams to keep products moving
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety conscious and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

You will ideally bring:

• A current forklift licence, which is essential for this role
• Recent forklift and warehouse experience within a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing or production environment
• Confidence loading and unloading trucks and moving stock safely
• Warehouse and/or export loading experience is highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Basic computer skills and confidence using workplace systems
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A practical approach and willingness to contribute wherever needed

Most importantly, you will bring a strong commitment to working safely and looking out for the people around you.

Employment details

This is a permanent, full-time day shift position, working Monday to Friday from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm at our Merbein Packaging Winery, or extend these hours to incorporate an RDO.

From time to time, overtime or weekend work may be offered depending on operational requirements.

This is an on-site operational role and is not a hybrid or work-from-home position.
