Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Richmond (NSW) is seeking a casual Visitor Information Officer to support our visitor services and tourism initiatives. Hours vary weekly, with shifts covering leave and peak periods, on-site parking included.

The role focuses on delivering accurate information to visitors and engaging with the community. You should have tourism experience, strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of working autonomously.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Tourism or equivalent required.
• Experience engaging with customers, visitors or stakeholders in tourism or visitor services.
• Experience assisting the public with visitor experiences.
• Ability to use internet, online and print media for accurate information.
• Right to live and work in Australia; WWCC or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing visitor information to the public.
• Support Council’s tourism activities and destination promotion.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
• Work autonomously and cover varying shifts as needed.
