Job summary

Bass Coast Shire Council is seeking a friendly Visitor Experience Officer to welcome visitors and residents, sharing local knowledge about attractions, accommodation, events and experiences across our Visitor Information Centres and at community events.

You will assist with ticket and retail sales, handle customer enquiries, cash and EFTPOS transactions, and support displays and administration. A Victorian Driver Licence and Working with Children Check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in visitor services, tourism, customer service or retail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Experience with cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods.
• A current Victorian Driver Licence and Working with Children Check.
