Job summary

Camden Council in Sydney is seeking a casual IT service desk support officer to assist with a hardware rollout across the organisation. You will help staff with setting up replacement laptops, logging into systems and ensuring devices are ready for use.

Working in the Digital, Innovation and Technology Branch, you will provide high-volume, customer-focused support and contribute to a Council-wide technology project while gaining valuable frontline experience in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in service desk support and incident management.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging users.
• Experience in high-volume IT support with prioritisation.
• Proven collaboration skills with stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Industry certifications in ITIL Framework.
• Basic training in Cyber Security, Networking or Microsoft technologies.
• General experience supporting Local Government core applications.
• Vendor/industry certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Roll out replacement laptops and other hardware to staff.
• Assist employees with setting up and logging into Council systems.
• Ensure equipment is ready for use and documented.
• Provide high-volume, customer-focused IT support during rollout.
• Collaborate with IT Service Delivery and other teams to resolve issues.
