Job summary

Scope is seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across Colac, Portland, Hamilton and Warrnambool. You will provide person-centred support, help with daily living and promote dignity and independence, following care plans and behaviour support strategies.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and overnight.
• Ability to travel to Colac, Portland, Hamilton or Warrnambool.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
• Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Full Victorian driver’s licence.
• Valid Australian working rights (and international police check if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence.
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines and safety procedures.
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines and community access.
• Use calm communication and de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern.
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans.
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate with the wider team.
• Bring patience, reliability and a calm, supportive approach to every shift.
