Job summary

Scope Aust is hiring Casual Disability Support Workers to support clients in Geelong's Supported Independent Living sites. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living, health routines and community access, and follow individual support plans.

We value calm communication, reliability, and a compassionate approach. You’ll work varied shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with full orientation and access to training and career pathways within Scope.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight (active/sleepover).
• Ability to travel to work in Geelong.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
• Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Full Victorian driver’s licence
• Valid Australian working rights and police check (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
• Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently
• Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access
• Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern
• Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team
• Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift
