Job summary

Fenner Conveyors, part of the Michelin Group, seeks a Mechanical Conveyor Technician/Fitter to join the Hunter Service team on a casual basis. You will install, repair and maintain conveyor systems in mining and industrial environments, prioritising safety and quality.

The role offers hands-on field service across Australian sites, opportunities to work with end-to-end conveyor solutions, and development within a supportive team focused on safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Experience in mechanical conveyor maintenance.
• Safety-focused self-starter with commitment to quality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current Australian Driver’s license.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Competently perform all mechanical tasks on conveyor systems and components.
• Conduct conveyor audits to diagnose condition and faults and make maintenance recommendations.
• Ensure all equipment and tools required for planned work are loaded and site compliant.
• Conduct quality audits on work performed.
• Assist with job scoping and planning.
• Audit and sign off completed timesheets daily and obtain sign-off from supervisor.
• Create or modify JSAs and ensure sign-off from crew.
• Support safety procedures and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment.
