Job summary

Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company, is seeking experienced FIFO Conveyor Technicians - Belt Splicers to join our Emerald Branch on a permanent full-time basis. You’ll work on shutdowns, conveyor installation, and general belt repairs and maintenance throughout the Emerald region.

You will join a results-driven, family-oriented crew that values you and what you bring to the team. Safety and reliability are our top priorities, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with conveyor belt splicing and fabric belts.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• General conveyor maintenance experience.
• Valid MR license and forklift ticket preferred.
• Willingness to work outside hours; unlimited working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Perform conveyor belt maintenance, repairs, and servicing of conveyor systems and components.
• Work on critical mining projects across the Emerald region.
• Conduct fault diagnostics and quality audits.
• Ensure all sites, tools, vehicles, and safety equipment are operated safely and effectively.

About the role:

Due to our continued growth and success, we are now seeking experienced FIFO Conveyor Technicians - Belt Splicers to join our Service team at Emerald Branch on a permanent full-time basis working on shutdowns, conveyor installation, and general belt repairs and maintenance throughout the greater Emerald region.

You will be joining a crew that is results-driven, family-orientated and most importantly values you and what you bring to the team!

Your responsibilities will include performing conveyor belt maintenance, repairs, and servicing of conveyor systems and components; working on critical mining projects throughout the Emerald region; conducting fault diagnostics and quality audits. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all sites, tools, vehicles, and safety equipment associated with your role are operated safely and effectively, while completing all assigned duties in a timely, professional, and safe manner.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in conveyor belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric belt;
• Ability to identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair;
• General conveyor maintenance experience
• Experience operating mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment;
• Valid Driver’s Licence preferably MR License;
• Current/valid Forklift ticket and Driver’s Licence (MR- preferred)
• Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing, whilst not essential, would be advantageous
• Dogging or Rigging ticket (desirable)
• Willingness to work outside of hours as required, and unlimited working rights in Australia
